AL-Hasani ("the App") is developed by Muntakhab Hasani. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Overview

AL-Hasani is a focused Islamic app providing prayer times, Quran reading, duas, and the Muntakhab al-Hasani book. The App does not require an account and does not use cloud services. All data stays on your device.

2. Data We Collect

• A random device identifier (UUID) stored locally — not linked to your identity
• App settings, bookmarks, and reading progress — stored on your device only

The App does not collect email addresses, account information, or any personal identifiers.

3. Location Data

The App requests location permission solely to calculate prayer times, determine Qibla direction, and compute the local Hijri date. Your location is processed on your device and stored in encrypted local storage (SecureStore). Location data never leaves your device. You can use the App without granting location permission by searching for a city manually.

4. Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores your preferences and reading data locally, including: settings, bookmarks, reading progress, and prayer tracker counts. Sensitive data (location) is stored in encrypted storage (SecureStore). This data never leaves your device.

5. No Cloud Sync

The App does not sync data to any cloud service. All your data remains on your device. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no server-side storage.

6. No Push Notifications

The App uses local notifications only (prayer time reminders scheduled on your device). No push tokens are collected and no data is sent to notification servers.

7. Third-Party Services

• Photon (komoot.de) — Location search autocomplete and reverse geocoding.
• quran.com API — Word-by-word Quran data and audio.
• alquran.cloud — Quran text and translations.
• Apple Maps — Map display for Qibla direction, subject to Apple's privacy policy.

The App does not use Firebase, Google Analytics, or any tracking services.

8. Analytics

The App sends a single anonymous network request on launch to track general usage counts. This request contains no personal data, no device identifiers, and no location information. You can opt out of this in Settings.

9. Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data. No data is retained on any server.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data: All data is on your device and accessible through the App.
• Delete your data: Uninstall the App or clear its data in your device settings.
• Withdraw consent: Revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

11. Children's Privacy

The App does not collect personal data from any user, including children. No account or personal information is required to use the App.
